About Sno Valley Riders
Community-driven. Volunteer-powered. Dedicated to the trails we all love.
Maintaining Trails 3, 8, 15 & 174 from Sidnaw to Ewen and north to Rockland.
Who We Are
Sno Valley Riders is a community-driven snowmobile club based in the heart of Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula. We’re riders, volunteers, neighbors, and friends who share a passion for winter and the incredible trail system that runs through our backyard.
From the first snowfall to the last spring melt, our mission is simple:
maintain safe, enjoyable trails and support the snowmobiling community that fuels our region.
We take pride in preserving the Northwoods experience—whether you’re a seasoned rider, a first-time visitor, or discovering the U.P. for the very first time.
What We Do
Our volunteers dedicate thousands of hours each year to:
-
Grooming and maintaining almost 100 miles of snowmobile trails
We cover portions of Trails 3, 8, 15, and all of Trail 174, stretching from Sidnaw to Ewen, and north to Rockland. -
Clearing downed trees and brush after storms
-
Maintaining signage and trail safety markers
-
Hosting meetings
-
Working closely with landowners, the DNR, and neighboring clubs
-
Keeping riders informed with trail updates, grooming reports, and early-season conditions
(Remember: Ride Right, Lead Right – and the groomer always has the right of way.)
Everything we do is powered by volunteers and funded through memberships, donations, and sponsorships. When you support the club, you help keep the trails open, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
Where We Groom
Our grooming territory spans a beautiful section of the western U.P., including:
-
Sidnaw → Ewen corridor
-
North to Rockland
-
Portions of major connector Trails 3, 8, and 15
-
All of Trail 174, a favorite among local riders for its scenery and flow
These trails connect riders to small towns, big adventures, deep snow pockets, and some of the best backcountry views the U.P. has to offer.
Why We Do It
Snowmobiling is more than a sport up here — it’s a way of life. Our trails bring visitors to local businesses, unite communities, and create memories that last far beyond the season.
We groom because we love it.
We maintain because the trails matter.
And we volunteer because this region is our home.
