Snowmobiles and a Piston Bulley groomer on a snowy trail in the middle of the snowy woods

Club Mission

Dedicated to safe, well-maintained trails and a stronger riding community.

Proudly maintaining Trails 3, 8, 15 & 174 throughout the Western U.P.

Our Mission

At Sno Valley Riders, our mission is simple:
to maintain safe, enjoyable snowmobile trails and strengthen the riding community across the western Upper Peninsula.

We are a volunteer-powered club dedicated to grooming, preserving, and protecting the trails we all rely on—from Sidnaw to Ewen and north to Rockland—across portions of Trails 3, 8, 15, and all of 174.

Every pass we make, every tree we clear, and every sign we install is done with one goal in mind:
making sure riders can experience the best of the U.P. all winter long.

Our Core Values

Safety First

We promote safe riding practices and work tirelessly to maintain a trail system that riders can trust.
We encourage all snowmobilers to Ride Right, Lead Right, ride within their limits, and remember that the groomer always has the right of way.

Community

Our club thrives on teamwork—neighbors helping neighbors, riders helping riders. The Sno Valley community extends far beyond the trails and into the towns that rely on winter recreation.

Stewardship

We take pride in caring for our land and trail system. By working closely with landowners, the DNR, and other clubs, we help protect access and preserve the natural beauty of the western U.P.

Dedication

Our volunteers are the heart of the club. From late-night grooming runs to early-season trail clearing after storms, their passion keeps the system open and rideable.

Respect

Respect for riders, landowners, the environment, and the trail system is woven into everything we do. Together, we can ensure these trails remain open for years to come.

What Guides Us

We believe snowmobiling should be:

  • Safe

  • Fun

  • Accessible

  • Sustainable

  • Community-centered

Our decisions, partnerships, events, and volunteer efforts reflect those priorities.

Why Our Mission Matters

Snowmobiling is more than a pastime here—it’s part of life in the U.P. Well-maintained trails support local businesses, bring families together, create unforgettable memories, and connect our small towns during the long winter months.

By supporting Sno Valley Riders, you’re helping ensure:

  • Open and groomed trails

  • Safe riding conditions

  • Strong community connections

  • A thriving winter economy

  • Continued access for future generations

How You Can Support the Mission

Whether you join as a member, volunteer your time, or donate toward grooming operations, you’re directly impacting the trails beneath your skis.

Every contribution—large or small—helps us keep the U.P. riding strong.
